This God given book
is currently being
authored by us - by
you and by me. Every
thought we have is
being written, every
motive that we make
is written, every
word that we speak
is registered,
every emotion which
we harbour is
captured, every
activity that we do
is recorded. Every
day of our life is
one page and is
recorded exactly how
we lived it.
How was your past
life? How was your
last year or last
month or past week?
How was your
yesterday? What have
you written in
yesterday's page? I
know for myself,
there were some idle
thoughts, some of
them sinful from
Bible standpoint; I
showed some odd
emotions when
someone parked his
car in a wrong way
such that my car
could not pass
through and I had to
honk the horn and
yet he was coming
carelessly; I spoke
some bad words
(though not abusing)
within me and even
harbored anger for
him (did I forgive,
yes, later but...),
I know my wife was
expecting me to give
her some attention
and time but I did
not (or could not)
and we had a minor
(unspoken) tension.
Nevertheless, there
were good times too
of spending time in
prayer with fasting,
reading the word of
God, worshipping in
the labor camp and
preaching his
gospel.
Imagine, all our
good works are being
written with normal
ink but the
wrong/bad/sinful
ones with red; how
much of this book
called life would be
RED. The question
which thrilled me
more was -
what if somebody
gets to read this
book. Frankly
speaking, I cannot
dare to allow anyone
to read my book. I
cannot even find a
page without that
red ink, and some of
those recorded
incidents are of
such nature that I
would be really
ashamed if anyone
read it. God reads
it everyday. Yes,
God reads our every
page every day as it
is being recorded.
He knows our
thoughts, our speech
and our activities.
Are we writing it
well?
He is looking for
people who will
write this book as
He wrote it, while
he was on the earth.
He wants us to live
our lives like him (Philipians
2:5) so that our
thoughts (Romans
15:5) are like him,
our talks (Romans
15:6) are like him
and our actions
(Phillipians 1:27)
are like him. I want
to encourage you
that we can do it.
YES! Because... we
have the mind of
Christ (1 Cor.
2:16).
Your
attitude should be the
same as that of Christ
Jesus
[Philippians 2:5]
May
the God who gives
endurance and
encouragement give you a
spirit of unity among
yourselves as you follow
Christ Jesus, so that
with one heart and mouth
you may glorify the God
and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
[Romans 15:5-6]
Whatever
happens, conduct
yourselves in a manner
worthy of the gospel of
Christ. Then, whether I
come and see you or only
hear about you in my
absence, I will know
that you stand firm in
one spirit, contending
as one man for the faith
of the gospel.
[Philippians 1:27]
For
who has known the mind
of the Lord that he may
instruct him?" But we
have the mind of Christ.
[1 Corinthians 2:16]
Read the 4 gospels once
again to read the thoughts,
words and actions of Jesus.
Ask the Holy Spirit to
transform you in the
likeness of Christ and you
will see that gradually the
red ink will decrease (and
finally disappear on the day
when Christ shall come on
the clouds to take us home)
on your today's and future
pages.
Lets pray:
Dear Holy Spirit, we request
you today to renew our
thoughts, bless our tongues
and correct our actions so
that we may live a life
which would glorify Jesus.
We are weak and frail, and
without you we can do
nothing, so help us to live
a life, holy and pleasing,
acceptable to God, because
we are aware that without
holiness, no one will see
God. Thank you. In Jesus
name we pray, Amen!!!
